FOR THOSE WHO SIGN
DO Use a blue or black pen
DO Write the correct date, including the year
DO Sign the name under which they are registered
DO Spell out their street name
DON'T Use a pencil
DON'T Sign a nickname, unless that is how they are registered
DON'T Sign using just a first initial, unless that is how they sign when voting
DON'T Sign for anyone else
DON'T Add zip code to the address
DON'T Abbreviate street name
DON'T Use more than the allotted space for signature and address
FOR THOSE WHO CARRY & WITNESS
DO Only go to Registered Republicans
DO Travel with blank Voter Registration forms for incorrect BOE info and for new voters
DO Complete the Statement of Witness after getting signatures on that page:
Name as registered | Address (no zip) | # of signatures | Date | Your signature
DO Have any changes (cross-offs) initialed and dated by the person who made the change
DO Carry blank Absentee Ballots for voters who cannot be here on Election Day
DON'T Sign any petition you are going to witness
DON'T Complete the Statement of Witness for any petition you didn't carry yourself
DON'T Write in the "NOTARY PUBLIC" section or below
DON'T Return the petition with any part of the Statement of Witness blank
